Details on the Mikel Rouse concert have been finalized. The program will consist of his film Funding, and will be preceded by a discussion with the composer. The event is being hosted by the Kansas City Public Library, Plaza branch, and as such we will be able to make this concert freely available to the public. The concert will be held on Wednesday, Sept 2, at 7:00pm.

Single-day registration will be available for the conference at the rate of $30.00 per day. Payment will be made on-site the day you wish attend, rather than online or by mail.

Just a quick word that the package discount on conference registration will expire in two days (Aug 15). Likewise, the conference rate on the hotel will be expiring in four days (Aug 17). If you haven’t registered or made travel arrangements yet, please do so soon to take advantage of these rates.

The conference has just opened a twitter account at https://twitter.com/2ndminimalism. We’ll be posting updates as the conference approaches both here and on twitter. Expect it to get much more active during the conference itself.
